OFFERS ARE INVITED FOR A HISTORIC JEWELLERY COLLECTION TO FUND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT
SOUTH AFRICA’S TEN NATIONAL BOTANICAL GARDENS.
Painstakingly fashioned in precious metals and gemstones over hundreds of hours by seven award winning jewellers,
the Kirstenbosch Crown Jewels Centenary Jewellery Collection is a glittering celebration of the Cape Floral Kingdom’s iconic flora and fauna.
It is the only official memento of the 2013 centenary of Cape Town’s world-renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and will never be reproduced.
The Collection will be sold in its entirety to ensure that its purpose and provenance is fully appreciated,
and its holistic integrity and investment value is preserved for posterity.
Whether you’re a company, a collector, or just a caring individual, this initiative will enable you to prepare many young South Africans for the
time when the environment becomes their responsibility.
A private sector initiative to enable substantial numbers of school-goers
and university students from disadvantaged communities to receive environmental education in
the world’s most inspiring outdoor classrooms.
The seven jewellers behind the Kirstenbosch Crown Jewels Centenary Jewellery Collection needed no persuading to co-create a one-of-a-kind jewellery collection to commemorate the 100th anniversary of one of the world’s favourite botanical gardens.
Not only would it link their names with Kirstenbosch forever, but the fact that it would be sold one day to fund environmental education was an appropriate way in which they could use their skills to address two issues of critical national importance – education and the environment.
With the drought starkly emphasising the need for environmental knowledge across all levels of society, they believe the time to sell the Collection is now.
All highly acclaimed designers, goldsmiths and gemmologists with years of experience and multiple industry awards to their credit, they are in no doubt that the Collection will grow in value as time goes by, rewarding its owner, financially and spiritually, as only an irreplaceable collector’s item can.
